Jazz Ensemble

The high school jazz ensemble is open to students in grades 9-12 and is comprised of standard big band instrumentation (2 Alto Saxophones, 2 Tenor Saxophones, 1 Baritone Saxophone, 4 Trombones, 4 Trumpets, Piano, Bass, Guitar, & Drums).

The group rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school, and performs a vast repertoire of literature – to include jazz standards, big band swing, latin, & rock/funk charts.

The jazz ensemble performs at the Winter and Spring Concert, as well as region large group contest and regional jazz festivals.
