Kerry Reuer

Mrs. ReuerKerry Reuer is excited to be beginning her ninth year of teaching at North Middle School in the Harrisburg School district.  She will be teaching Music Enrichment classes and assisting with the North MS Band and Choir programs.  Mrs. Reuer will be teaching several of the flute lessons this year and conducting woodwind sectionals at times during Band class.

Prior to joining the faculty at Harrisburg, Mrs. Reuer served as the Director of Instrumental and Vocal Music for the Grant-Deuel and Summit School Districts. Her teaching duties included K-6 General Music, 5-12 Instrumental Music, 7-12 Choral Music, and Drama.

Mrs. Reuer received her Bachelors of Music Education degree from South Dakota State University in 2003, where she performed with the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Prairie Repertory Theater Orchestra, and “Pride of the Dakotas” Marching Band including the trip in 2000 to Washington DC where the band marched in the National Independence Day Parade and performed on PBS’s “A Capitol Forth” with Barry Bostwick, Lee Ann Womack, Ray Charles, and more. Mrs. Reuer is currently working towards a Master of Music at the University of South Dakota.  

Mrs. Reuer lives in Sioux Falls with her husband Mark, a machinist and World Champion Powerlifter, and their one year-old son Trevor.
